This area is dedicated to the pioneers who have captive bred crabs, and for those who wish to learn more or attempt it themselves. Also for inquiring about the gender of your crabs.

That's a real shame! Hopefully next year there's more success!

Text sent! In a nutshell, I'm thinking about you and Samantha! Don't give up! I had Zoeae through November/December last year, so you might get another chance this year. ((HUGS))

I'm sure hoping so! It's a lot of work, but if we can figure it out and get some to land, that would be amazing.

Strawberries are hard. We went from 200, to 100, to less to none. And the thing is, they literally disappeared. No bodies or anything. Just gone. We searched all the jars, outside the jars, we stirred it all up. Nothing. Just gone. We are puzzled.

That's what we were thinking but even checking the 10 gallon tank the jars were in we didn't see any bodies in that water either. The previous day we were down to maybe 35 at most. Their numbers were really dropping 200-100-75-50-35.

We are really going to try and be better prepared for next time. I can't wait to make that first call to work! "I won't be in today, my hermit crab had babies and I need to move 10,000 zoea into another tank!"
