Why does my Halloween crab keep eating the other ones food?

I give the crab on the bottom food in this shell since she’s not in good condition and I worry about her not being able to go to the food bowl. The male was eating her food so I gave him his own shell and put it in front of his log. He went out of the log and walked past his shell to eat her food again. The next day I put his shell next to hers and he still eats out of it. Does anyone know why this happens?

Do you feed the same types of food? He may just prefer what she is being offered

Why? Because he can. LOL. Isn't that always the way it is with kids and pets - they always want what the other one is having?
