There are a number of issues with your set-up which I would strongly recommend addressing before you consider adopting more crabs - I've noted them in response to your emergency posting.

Once that's done, generally with a golfball sized crab, you would not want to have more than 2 in a 10G, and that, to me, is an absolute maximum. Keep in mind these are long-lived animals when provided the correct environment and proper care, and will grow very large. In my opinion, a 10G tank will not be sufficient for even one crab once it becomes large. While yes, hermit crabs are, in general, social creatures, they are also creatures who do not take well to overcrowding and thrive with space to roam, so please take that into consideration when you make a decision as to whether to adopt additional crabs and how many.

Here is the HCA guide to tank size/ crab size/ how many.

I started with a 10 gallon, then upgraded to a 20, then upgraded again to a 55 gallon. I only have two crabs. Remember that they will grow, so a ten gallon won't be big enough for very long!

Update: issues fixed, upgrading them to a 20 gallon once scooter (crab number 2) comes back up from molting!

You should have the 20 up and running and transfer over each one as they come up. Otherwise there's a good chance there will always be at least one molting crab.
