Discoloration?

I’ve read a lot about shell rot recently but can’t find any really good pictures of it. I’ve also seen people confuse shell rot with chemical burns or bad molts. I might just be freaking out cause I just had a crab pass away but can anyone take a look at these pics and tell me if the discoloration looks weird or normal? Thanks.

That’s just a normal coloration pattern.

Shell rot is a black infection. We don’t have a lot of information on it here due to its rarity so I’m going to redirect you to the Crab Street Journal for visual references.
