How deep for molting?

Post by Neville&Seamus » Mon Apr 20, 2020 1:10 pm

Hi! I have two lil guys. Their salt water pool has started leaking (thought they were splashing water out but definitely a leak since the pool's level but drains in minutes). I need to replace it but one of them is molting. The replacement pool I got is deeper than the current one and someone's been digging right by the pool, so I'm afraid Seamus is hanging out right under it for his molt. Is it safe to do a surface clean (top 1/4" or so) and replace the pool right now? Can't figure out how to post a pic of the new pool, but it' a Fluker's lagoon and at it's deepest, goes about 1/3 of the way into the depth of the sand. Thank you!

If you need to dig I would put off on it but that’s just me.

Would it be practical to leave the new pool on the surface for the time being?
