Help identify crabbie’s species

Hello! New here. I inherited my daughter’s hermit crab, Willie, a few years ago. He comes out of his shell enough for us to tell he is a male crab but I’m wondering if you can help identify his species?

Thanks!

It's a bit hard to see his limbs in detail from the picture but judging by the eyes and general color it's probably a pp (purple pincher).

He has one big pincher and one small, I’d say purple pincher. (I’m 99% sure they are the only ones with different sized pinchers)

All land hermits crabs have the different sized pinchers. Marine hermits usually have claws that are the same size.

I don’t know why I thought that. I really thought most hermit crabs have similar pinchers and that pps were the only ones with a large difference. Thanks for letting me know!
