Her is my story: I've owned 3 hermit crabs in the past. I have one named Spartan who is thriving but hes been by himself since the last one died. So I finally got 2 new one, Coconut and Hermione. I quarantined the new crabs for 4 weeks to make sure they didn't get Spartan sick. Today I finally introduced them together but Spartan got super shy and stressed. He was frozen. So I ended the meet and greet and but him back in the main tank. I put the two other crabs in with him. I have multiple hides so their all in different ones. But is that normal for him to get so stressed out like that? What should I do? PLEASE HELP!
I think it's normal. He might want to meet them on his terms, not your terms. As long as they aren't trying to pinch off each others eye stalks or claws and aren't trying to rip each other out of their shells, leave them be and let them get used to each other.

I agree with mool. As long as you have plenty of good food (protein and calcium) and lots of hiding spaces, they should be fine together. Sometimes dipping them all in the fresh water can make them smell the same, and reduce aggression/fights.
I dipped them in water and went to the store and came back and they were all doing their own thing. They are good now and there isnt any agression so far. Thank you so much!
