So my crab disappeared around March 29 and I just assumed he’s been molting since then. Right now I was just taking out the moss because it’s so old and I never wanted to bother him but I decided to take it out and he is under the moss!!! His shell is not buried but like he is somewhat dug
into the sand and I just put the moss back on top of him! Don’t crabs need to fully bury themselves to molt? Is he dead?????

Re: Molting crab not fully buried?!
They’ll sometimes dig in weird places. I would leave him where he is.
