Back to Back Molts?

Post by Jlmills525 » Mon Dec 20, 2021 7:49 am

Is it normal or probable at least, for a medium crab to molt again very soon after their first molt with you? Eugene was "down" (in quotes because it was a semi surface molt inside a coconut hut) for 2 months and he's been non active possibly buried for several days now, only about a month later.

Only worried because i haven't seen him in several days and he's usually active during the day. I don't think he's even coming out at night because his food has not been disturbed at all.

I have ordered a WYZE but i don't have it yet.

This can absolutely happen! My shortest back to back (that I know of) was also with a medium crab, who was underground again just 10 days after coming up. I know he molted that second time because he had a giant growth spurt. When they have good nutrition it's like they try to grow as fast possible.
