I have two small hermit crabs, Hades and Persephone. Hades has buried himself under the substrate for a few days now, and I don't know if it's due to stress or molting. I've only had my crabs for four days, and Hades buried himself in the substrate on the first day in their new tank.
I only have two hermit crabs, and I'm a new hermit crab owner, and I was wondering if Persephone will get lonely and sick because Hades is potentially molting or stressed?
Like I said, I've only had them for a week now, and though I've done tons of research, I can't find anything on this. I don't even quite know how to tell if Hades is stressed or molting, besides to wait, of course. I just don't want Persephone to get lonely and potentially sick as a result to being by herself on the surface while Hades is buried in the substrate.
Thanks!
Crab Loneliness.

Re: Crab Loneliness.
There have been a number of topics based on this question on this forum. Your crab will not get lonely or sick when the other is underground. I have had my two crabs for over 11 years, and only one or twice in that whole time were they both underground at the same time.
