Tank smells weird

Hey.. so I just transferred my crab babies to a different tank and ofc I cleaned it and do everything just like normal but when I opened up my tank the next day it smelled a little fishy… but the weird thing is that I opened it again the day after that and the smell was gone it smells normal now was it just like a stress thing or what.?

Could it possibly have been some food they ended up dragging off and burying? Is everyone accounted for in the tank?

Everyone is accounted for and I looked but they are very tidy and keep their food in their dish lol idk what it is but it’s gone now so I’m not too worried :/
