Introducing a New Crab
I moved to a new apartment back in February. I have a 20 gallon (high) tank all set up and ready and I've been waiting for my crabs to surface so I could switch them to the temporary/travel home (a plastic emergency carrier which will be easier to transport) now I have both crabs in the travel carrier and one of them has buried back down in the substrate... I would like to introduce a third crab to the new tank and I've read that if you dunk them in water before placing in the new tank, it aids in a smooth introduction... my concern is that I'll get the OG crabs home and one will still be buried. Can I dunk and add one OG crab and the new crab but wait for the other OG to surface... if this is days later, would dunking still help or would he still smell different to the others? I hope this isn't too confusing, I really appreciate any advice!

Re: Introducing a New Crab
I would dunk both the above ground crab and the new crab, and put them in the new tank. Then wait for the buried one to surface, and dunk everyone again with they all smell the same.
