Hello! one if my first hermit crabs had his second molt with me week ago, and came up a little paler than normal, he’s mostly all pale with a tiny stripe of purple on his legs even his pincher is pretty pale. i’ve had him for 7 months and he’s always been a little on the paler side, but other than than that he’s super active, eats well, LOVES the wheel, and drags out every shell in the shell shop every night lol. they all eat balanced meals and protein mixes mostly from approved Etsy shops, they have lots of leaf litter to snack on and the 24/7 dish along with some other foraging dishes with treats like plain popcorn, hermie safe flower petals, etc. Do you think this is normal for him or is there something i should add to his diet?
thank you!:)

Re: Post molt color?
I think diet can help color, but it is mostly due to genetics. (I think) I think crabs usually come up a little paler.
I love my two cool crabs Zote and Fizban.

Can you post a photo? If he is acting completely normally, I'd tend to be less concerned about his color.

Re: Post molt color?
Color can occasionally fluctuate after molting. It will likely revert back after the next molt
