Are c.olivieri and c. longitarsis real species of hermit crabs?
I ask this because despite these being apparently accepted as real species there's zero information on either these two, and there's zero pictures of them either.

I’m not familiar with them but I wouldn’t be surprised.
Hermit crabs and other invertebrates tend to be poorly studied if they aren’t pests, food, or medically important. You probably won’t find much outside of the original papers describing them.

C. longitarsus is a Clibinarius species, not Coenobita. It's a marine crab of the Red Sea.
Coenobita olivieri was described in 1839 in French Polynesia. The Coenobita tree has been refined many times over the years as our abilities to differentiate species and compare old specimens have gotten better. With the lack of recent papers on the species, there's probably a good chance it was a color variation of another better known species. Adventurers and scientists back in the day loved to get their name on "new" species and looked for any chance to do so.
