splittng 5 crabs between two tanks

Post by Hermitsandplants » Tue May 27, 2025 6:35 am

so someone gave me a Russian Tortoise recently named cheese, and it is kept in a ten gallon tank. i am going to move him to my 25 gallon housing my hermit crabs as soon as they come up from the ground.
i have two small, one tiny, and two medium crabs. i was thinking about putting the three smaller ones in one and the mediums in another. i have two ten gallons so i would split them between there. would that work?

That would work for a while, eventually you will need to size up as they grow.
