Holes in substrate

Hello!

I have one of my bigger hermits getting ready to molt. The last few nights he's dug multiple holes in the substrate, I'm assuming looking for the perfect place to go under - but is on the surface in the morning. Should I leave these holes be or can I cover them back up? (I've counted multiple times, all hermies are on top and accounted for an no one is under) Thanks!

I would leave the holes. They'll just dig more anyway.

Agreed. This is normal behavior. Try not to worry about it.

Agreed, totally normal behavior. Mine just like to dig, not necessarily when they are going to molt.
