Tik- Tok. Baby Hermies taken from beach

Ok I was watching a TikTok last night and I just looked up hermit crabs. This clip popped up and this person has, I would say 10 to 15 baby hermit crabs in a water bottle that they are bringing home from the beach. it was only posted about 4 or 5 days ago but I’m not sure what to do. As well as I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done. Each of the dark spots is another hermit crab.

I also didn’t know what part of the forum to post to.

Another person posted about this. They look like marine crabs, but I still don't think it's legal to take them from their home. But since you can't locate them, you wouldn't know. Honestly, I don't know what to suggest to you but I would report it just in case :( They most likely don't know the first thing about caring for LAND crabs. I doubt they'll be able to get them to thrive.

I know that’s what I was thinking that they wouldn’t know how to make them thrive. So I did report them.

Unfortunately, as sad as it might seem, and given that we naturally want to offer care advice, we can’t always convince others to do something and avoid another. Since this specific place is a massive means of social media, it’s be rather hard to do much more than just reporting the post.
