HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Anyone know where I can get some hermit crab safe coconut huts from? Maybe a amazon link or something. Thank you!

You could always buy a coconut at a store, break it open, take out the mean, then let it dry.
Or you can go on Chewy.com and buy some stuff there.

I got mine from PetSmart ( in Canada) but there plastic.

Ok I think I’ll try looking on chewy.com. I just dont want to get something that’s toxic to them with paint and stuff on it idk. Thank you very much!

I seen one at PetSmart and yeah it’s plastic. I’m a beginner at hermit crab care and have been studying a lot on them to prepare. But yeah I wasn’t sure if these plastic ones are ok for them or if they are toxic like a lot of things PetSmart and Petco sell that are “supposedly” for hermit crabs but actually kill them or are dangerous to them. if you know without a doubt plastic coconut shells are safe for them please let me know. The one at PetSmart is from all things living. Thank you so much!

They are safe and not like painted shells that will chip off. I personally really like them
