Help setting up a planted tank

So, alot of people have planted tanks these days. I know coco fiber alone doesn't sustain plants, so I added leaf litter, sand, and read somewhere on here that you can ONLY USE ORGANIC FERTILIZER, so that's what I did. I didn't add to much sand or leaf litter ad I wanted my substrate fluffy.

about 1 part sand to 2 parts coco fiber and a couple handfuls of leaf litter.
Question is, if my substrate is wet (but not soggy) do I need aeration in the substrate?

I read that the plants I have love moist soil, but I'm concerned about them not getting enough o2. I read that airstones are a great way. Do I put them directly underneath the plant...?

I cannot believe I almost forgot to ask!
How long do I wait before adding the crabs (which I have in 2 separate tanks right now) to let the plants establish if I added them directly to the substrate? Thank you sooi much guys n gals. U rock!!

I don't know what kind of plants you're using but typically plants that like moisture are adapted to lower amounts of oxygen. Unless your soil is more saturated and compacted than recommended it's probably not an issue.
