How often do your crabs go in water bowls?

How often do your crabs go in water bowls? I'm a first time owner, and I want to make sure I've provided an adequate entrance to their water bowls. I'm using a glass Tupperware container, slightly dug into substrate, with a mesh ladder, not too sure if the ladder is sturdy enough. Haven't seen either near the water bowl. One has been pretty quiet during the day. The other has been happily picking at food throughout the day
Another worry wort question

~5months into the hobby with 6 crabs and I've never seen a crab in/on one of their pools. Each of my tanks has two 1 quart plastic containers w/ air bubblers and plastic craft mesh ramps. I do see sand and poop in them occasionally, so I know they use them. LOL

I've been Crabbing for almost a year and I've only seen my xl crab lean over (holding onto the mesh) to get a drink. My small ones stay hid thru the day so I never catch them doing anything except eating and climbing when I get up for work at 3:30am.

Haha dang. I adjusted a few things so I know for sure they should be able to get in!
I'll catch them one day!

With deep bowls, they usually just hang off the sides for a drink. With shallow bowls they can stand up in, they may be observed more often sitting in them. I find mine a few times a week just soaking their toes.

I have seen multiple crabs in and out of the water bowls. Fully submerged, just the toes or just drinking, but everyone's crabs are different. My crabs are pretty open with whatever they are doing, but some crabs are really shy. They will go in if they need too.
