My crabs murdered and ate a baby crab??

A little backstory... I had 6 crabs in a 25 gal. They had saltwater, freshwater, protein, meat, veggies, fruit, toys, hiding places, good temp and humidity, and a deep, sand substrate. The three crabs that were involved in this story are Bob Ross: a newborn small crab I had adopted, Mr. Krabs: a large crab that I'd grown very attached to, and Debbie, a very large black crab. All were purple pinchers but 1. :anon: Bob Ross took the longest to molt out of all of the crabs, about 5 months. When He came up, he almost immediately shed his skin and went under again. now, all my crabs were VERY close at the time, always playing and play-fighting with each other. Bob Ross also never had any problems prior to this, but when he emerged the second time, he acted so strangely. he would bite the other crabs and became very inactive. at that time, I tried everything. Dipping him in salt, new food brand, new water brand, isolation, deeper sand, but nothing seemed to crack him. :( 2 weeks later, i see and hear mr krabs and debbie pulling bob ross' limbs and eyes apart. they then proceeded to EAT his limbs??? sadly, before i could stop them, bob ross bled out and died. i am so confused and scared, somebody please help. :( :(

I'm sorry for your loss!
Are you also offering calcium daily? I make sure to have some source of calcium in my tank at all times. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the tank is a bit overcrowded.

Hmmm....what you describe isn't actually how crabs molt.
Are you able to post a photo of your set-up? And each of your remaining crabs?
