HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hello! So, I’m just starting out with hermit crabs. I know A LOT but I don’t own any yet and I really want to know which species is the most beginner-friendly. I’m incredibly familiar with the baseline care for hermit crabs in general, but should I get a purple pincher? Or is there a lesser-known crab that’s better for beginners?

Well... the easy answer is that since you appear to be in the US... purple pincher is what you're most likely to get

PPs are the most common and probably the 'easiest' species to keep.
