Outdoor enclosure

Post by Enorton » Sat Jun 11, 2022 9:18 am

I live in Myrtle Beach, SC and have 3 large hermit crabs, 2 are 7 years old. It is very warm and humid now for summer and am considering making an outdoor enclosure for them on our screened in porch. I thought they would like it but not 100% sure if this is a good idea. I don't want to hurt them, of course. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the climate is above the minimums both day and night, I don't see much issue in doing trips every now and again. However, my concern is moulters, if they moult and not up when the seasons change, disrupting moulters don't sound ideal.
