Cuttlebone backing?
Hello! I saw that a lot of people used cuttlebone in their tanks and thought it was a good idea, so I recently ordered one. It turns out, mine was fresh from the beach and still had what was called cuttlebone backing. Most people buy cuttlebone from a pet store with the backing already removed for birds. The backing is removed so it isn't a choking hazard and doesn't injure their digestive system for birds and turtles. MIne still had the backing, so I soaked it in water overnight and tried my best to remove it. I got off as much as I could, but there are probably spots with bit of the backing still on there. Is it safe to put in my tank? Have any of you bought your cuttlebone like this and had to remove the backing yourself? Thank you!

Re: Cuttlebone backing?
I have never bought it like that, but can't see why it would be a problem.
