Mine are always shell shopping in the second level shop. Perhaps your guys are just lazy shoppers? So far this one is supporting the weight, and not sinking into the substrate overly much.

I'll post a pic of what I've got. Not competed on the set up of it yet, but it's pretty much the basic concept of it.
