I’m so sorry for your loss!

Here are some Pittsburgh crabs: https://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB ... 2&t=125927

You can also buy or adopt via LHCOS!! I’m in class rn and the school wifi blocks some links unfortunately but I can fetch those links when I get home :)

So my one crab died during first molt and I thought the other one died too, she was buried so long….. today my cat was sitting staring at the crabitat and I realized she molted and came up and changed shells and she seems great!!!! I’m so happy but I don’t want her to be alone but I can’t find any hermit crabs near me….. will she be ok alone for a bit until I can find her a companion??

Also she was VERY active when she came up and ate and drank a lot…… now she keeps half burying herself…. Like u can still see her shell but she’s dug down in substrate so you can only see the top. Is that ok or does it mean tank is too hot or too cold????

Some of my guys do that too, I can see some of their shell sticking out when they're in the sand. Crabbies like to dig for fun too and just to hang out. If you're in the general temp range of 75-85°F, I wouldn't worry. Image
