What color are PPs usually just post-molt?

Post by Nethers » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:17 pm

I've been noticing some crab ligaments strewn throughout the cage the last day or two. Strangely enough some of them had hair from a previous molter. I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to which crab it belongs to, but I haven't yet seen him out to check on him.

I saw a glance at him and he was a dark purple color, as opposed to his old light shades of orange. Is he losing limbs or post molt color?

are the limbs hollow?
if they are then it's a molters exo, but if you say they have hair on them they might be dropped limbs :-/ check to see if they're hollow of filled with meat

all crabs are fairly pink but they darken up quickly. I know they can change color drastically after a molt though.
