First Accidental dig up...:(

Post by Rawrgeous » Tue Mar 08, 2016 2:13 pm

I was churning my substrate as I do weekly, the top 4 inches or so, and Jack was uncovered....I figured he'd be deeper. He is still responsive, tho sluggish, I found no exo.. I snapped a few pics, but I don't think he's actually molted yet. Is it safe to put him back in? :( ImageImage

Churning substrate is unnecessary unless you have a bacterial bloom etc. that requires you to that. Churning every week really only puts crabs at risk. To

Okay, noted. I was also adding ee today, and wanted to get the upper levels mixed a bit... I'm literally combating my humidity issue atm. Its keeps dipping to the lower 70s...After being at 78 and 79 yesterday. I STILL haven't been able to get the humidity to get to 80 or higher...ever.. I'm at a loss. I even made an external diy air stone humidifier like listed on the humidity guide lines...the heat in my isn't even running anymore. I'm at a loss of what else I could do. Jack seems fine, I'm glad I got lucky. I guess I learned my lesson....I'm spraying twice a day...which I don't want to be over doing...I ensure the top is on securely there's a moss pit I keep moist. The pools both have airstones. I have a humidifier running. I'm about to test the gauge again, just because I literally don't know what else I can do to make it raise any more, other than breaking down and buying a fogger. That really wouldn't be an issue, but If I bought it and it didn't help......I might pull my hair out. Lol XD
