Jumbo crab's been buried for 2-3 months

After Alpha died, I corrected the last of my faults in the crabitat. The biggest fault was there wasn't enough sand. After correcting this, my biggest crab, Gamma, buried himself in the sand and has been down there ever since. I know that it takes larger crabs a longer time to molt but it's been so long since I've seen him and I'm starting to worry. Image this is the last picture taken of him before he went under

With Jumbos, molting is always a dangerous time. Two to three months is well within normal for them though! Mine always took around 7 weeks, but I know others have had to wait for 6 or 7 months. Just sit tight, it is so hard to wait but disturbing a Jumbo mid-molt is almost always deadly for them. They cannot bounce back like smaller crabs can.

The isopods won't bother him, right? I just got quite a few of them recently and I'm worried they'll bother all of my molters (which I have 4 or 5 buried right now)

The isopods won't bother him. They can't dig down very far, and they are more interested in little tidbits on the surface. :)

I once had a jumbo down for 6 months before he came up hairy and pointy. I was convinced he had died. Takes them a while sometimes.
