I have a CocoDen with a stand that goes into the dirt. The stand broke today and I went to replace it with another CocoDen. All 5 of my crabs are molting right now, and when I moved the first CocoDen their was a crab dug under it with no cover but the CocoDen, so I put it back. I keep hearing scratching from the tank but it’s hard to tell where it’s coming from because all 5 crabs are under. I’m worried she might be stuck and unable to get out and/or breathe, but don’t want to further disturb her molt. Should I leave the CocoDen where it is or move it out of the way of her spot?

Would you happen to have a pic of the product your talking about or a link to the product in question? Im trying to work out what it is. If its a half coconut hut or hide, they can easily burrow put and around it to get to the surface, so I wouldn't worry too much about it and leave them be. As long as the substrate is the proper consistency, they'll be able to burrow their way out/around.

Leave moulting crabs be and wait for for them to surface. They actually built extensive burrows (providing the substrate is ideal) and make little 'gas pockets' for them to breathe in. So they are fine when underneath.

Oh yeah, they have no problem digging around it if they want go come up. I'd leave it tbh.
