Crab went down for a molt, came up with a mutant leg

He was fine when he went down but when he came up, one of his legs is all gnarled. He seems active and healthy aside from the bum leg. What should I do?

Sometimes something will go wrong or get damaged during a molt. There really isn't anything you can do about it. It may correct itself during future molts, or he may live with it for the rest of his life.

I had heard that if the leg becomes a real problem, the crab will snip it off. I've seen ocean crabs do this with their pincer claws but never with a leg.
