Re: Help
Hello and welcome to the HCA! How often do you get the allowance? If you just have one, they will likely be okay a week or so until you can get some. But with more than one there can be shell envy when adequate shells are not supplied. Craft stores such as Joannes, offer green turbos in a bag for a low price, around 6-7 bucks or so. Oftentimes you can find coupons to make them even cheaper. Maybe your parents will help you out and take it out of your next one? I don't know your situation, and I don't want you to get yourself in trouble, but maybe explain to your parents why they need them. I won't lie to you, crabbing can be pricey starting out, so it'll likely be something you will have to prioritize. There are ways to do it on a budget, but you can't really get around shells, unfortunately.

Maybe you could explain the importance of shells to the parents? That might convince themRawrgeous wrote:Hello and welcome to the HCA! How often do you get the allowance? Goodbye my little E. See you soon.
Bye Fred. You lasted almost 4 years with me. Hope you're with my E now! See you soon Reeba as well. I can't believe I lost you only after a month.

Re: Help
Suggest picking up a few odd jobs around the house - like cleaning - in exchange for your parents buying suitable shells?
Assuming that your parents allow you to, could you shop online? You may be able to find deals cheaper than you would at a petstore and such.
If you collect shells as a kid - or parents may have a couple of suitable shells lying around - ask if you could use them in a pinch?

Re: Help
Also - as far as the coupons - all of those companies - Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnns - they have websites and apps. Each company accepts the others coupons.
Each week they put out a new 40% off coupon.
I go to Michaels at least once a week with a Michaels Coupon and a Hobby Lobby Coupon.

Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com
