how often should i change food that does not rot?

hi! i have a quick question. i change my dry food every third day and my wet food every other day. should i change it sooner? BTW if i see any mold i throw it out immidietly. i watch my food carefully, so they are very healthy. just wnted to know if i am doing anything wrong. thank you!

If I don't see fuzz, I just leave it in. So it might be 3 or 4 days for the dried food. I have left my crabs for a week when on vacation, giving dried food before I go. It's fuzzy when I come back, but they are fine.

Any food will eventually mold and rot in the humidity and heat, but some things last longer than others. With nuts, the oils will usually go rancid from the heat before it rots.

Wodesorel is right- any food will grow mold eventually. But I discovered that freeze dried animal proteins last for quite awhile, but don't leave things like peanut butter in for a long time- the oils will separate very fast.
