It this safe?

Image I put this bowl in my tank and filled it with rocks I cleaned thoroughly then put salt water in this bowl. Now before I put this in my tank I took both of my crabs that are not molting out and made sure the could get out of this salt bath but I wanted to know if this was safe or if I should just go back the the small dish I got from the pet store.

They can half way submerge themselves into the water by the way.

I think it looks fine. But I would dangle something in there like a plastic plant just to be sure they can easily get out. :)
