Hey yall!
So, they cleared out a good bit on last meal! I really love this feeding tray. It's easier to see what they liked and what they didn't. Plus there was 6 in the package for $1 so that's a great deal!

Here's tonight's menu-

I don't have enough room for a feeding dish, calcium dish, AND worm castings dish so I'm just adding it to the menu every night for now. Once their totes are finished I'll have a lot more room.

Your list is huge! And quite impressive! I just wanted to mention that these three items are not on the safe list. I would recommend that you quit serving them. Even though your hermits may like them, we don't know what long term affects they may have. That is just my recommendation. Better to be safe than sorry.

Edit: I looked at ChollaQueen's Etsy. She sells natural and organic food, not just organic. A majority of her sales are Cholla. I noticed her Dungeness crab exoskeleton is all machine processed - which leaves me to believe that is also another by product she is selling. She must purchase that from a company that sells crab meat - because I noticed she doesn't sell the meat.
Thanks so much for your input! I will remove those items since I trust your experience and judgement. Out of those 3 I’ve only given the cattle blood powder so I’ll just dump them. I’ve got some better stuff coming here soon anyhow haha

I LOVE this post! Thank you so much for starting this Ciara! I just ordered a sampler pack from The Healthy Hermit but I think I’m going to put another order in for some more protein foods and write down everyone’s crabs favorites and order more. The only protein I have right now is brine shrimp. I love this post, crab tested info.

You're going to LOVE that sampler pack! It's all her mixes, and so far there isn't a mix my crabs don't chow down on! Try a custom order as well, she can help you find what items work best for you! My first order was $20. I said take shipping out and throw in what else fits in the budget and I've been hooked since Image

I didn't take a picture tonight but wanted to share tonights menu... Left the squid because it was such a big piece, the Floral teaz was almost gone so I added another floral mix to it.. Then basic diet from THCP. Worm castings are a staple in another dish and added some green sand to it.

Idk if it was the worm castings or green sand but my new topsider was at the dish containing both. This was the first time feeding it in a dish. I sprinkled on the substrate for the one I was trying to heal previous. I'll update when I see what's been eaten

It was probably both @fandt94! Both of those items are hits in all of my tanks! :)

My crabs seem to be preferring to forage on dead oak leaves over anything else at the moment.

I just scored some freeze dried mealworms and freeze dried crickets from Walmart since my crabs prefer to forage.

Tonight's menu-
Image

They had a giant tree in the tank that I took out because they barely used it. I have so much room now. So i added a worm castings dish Image

Also, I forgot to take an after pic of the last meal because I spilled tonight's meal so I had to remake it and I was upset haha. But they didn't care for last night's menu too much.
