I have been going crazy trying to keep my crab food organized and safe. The ziplock bags can develop holes, not seal all the way or just get gross over time.
Being a freak of nature I obsess over things like this. I have tried a lot of things but finally found one that works and looks awesome.

I made labels.

Bought these (off ebay)
http://www.darice.com/store/details/cat ... ry/1992-89

combined the 2 (ignore the crooked label lol)

and filled them. TA-DA!
I have 3 more coming. I just wanted to share.

I bought a set of those containers, but ended up returning them because the plastic was scraping off of the threads and into the food every time the jars were opened and closed. Maybe I bought cheap ones?

Nice! My dried foods are mostly stored in clean ricotta, cottage cheese, and yogurt tubs.
Edit: oh and we haven't had a working printer in a while so my labels are leftover Christmas gift tags. Hey, I'm the only one that has to look at it.

Ehhh my offerings are a jumbled mess of snack baggies bunched in a gallon freezer ziploc. I might as well just mix it all together according to water content!

Wode - I haven't had any plastic shaving issues at least not yet so I don't know. I can see why you wouldn't want that in their food!

I have the VERY best solution called "really useful boxes) at Staples. I just bought it last night, washed it, and spent two hours this morning filling and labelling it! (also a little obsessive)
It is the best thing ever, sits vertically in the fridge so it doesn't take up much space.
Only problem is..I have more than 16 varieties of food so I might need another
