Post by agentcrabby » Mon May 29, 2017 5:28 pm

So i have been feeding my hermies King Crab legs. They love both the meat and shells. I hope this is ok?

It's part of the crustacean family so you should be fine ;)

It isn't cannabalism - they're different species ! :D

I feed mine snow crab with exo. But I boil it in case there's any shell rot lurking.

Eh, eating a close cousin would be more like it, which may still be kind of icky if you think of it in human terms. Gorillas aren't exactly on our menus.

It should help bolster anything they may be lacking, which may help keep them from wanting to go after molters. Mine would never eat crab, and I've tried it all thinking it would be good for them. The only thing they'd go crazy for was the king crab exo from Alaska Hermit, probably because it was fresh off the beach.

Nah, gorillas aren't that closely related to humans (lol).

:P

Off topic a bit, but octopus seems to inspire the most tussles in my tat. Squid, on the other hand is anathema to my crew (weird, right?).

I will say that I can't detect any assault on the crab exo, but I leave it in, just in case they're picking at it when I'm not looking

Mine love any type of crab exo that I find on the beach. They love a few other crabs that I have bought, but won't touch Tanner crab.
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com
