Sprouting for crabs

Post by ROSIEonFIRE » Wed Aug 24, 2022 11:55 am

Hi all! I want to do some kind of sprouts/foraging for my crabs. It would be great to have a permanent sprout container in the tat that the crabs can brows but I realize that may not be feasible. Anyone have any advice to share on this topic?

Following... I was told to just plant chia seeds in the sub and mist them a couple times: nothing.
3 PPs: Maxwell (small), Mitchelle (medium/small), Kendall (medium/large)
also have 10gal freshwater fishtank w/ neon tetras, pygmy cories, and nerite snails

if you're trying for something 'sustainable' i have seen others talk about putting the sprouts in little pots with like lid type things on them to keep the crabs out of the roots
