To the 40g.. a nice deep substrate. Plastic plants... climbing places. The usual still cover the basics and then have fun making it a paradise

Yay I can't wait! I would def add bubblers- they do wonders for humidity. Maybe add more climbing wood, like Mopani or grape vine. The moss pit you have now is pretty but for me I would upgrade to a shower caddy, more efficient tank space wise IMO. Hmm, I'm sure I will think of more stuff later.

If you adopt from the person in Syracuse the adoption comes with a 55g tank, and you wouldn't need to buy a 40g

you mentioned it on another post somewhere

Well I don't have enough space for that but I just discovered that if I go to Pet Supplies Plus near me, and sign up for a membership card there for free, I can get a 40 with an awesome lid for $15 less than petco! I am going there instead

I like what everyone else said. Is the small hut painted? If so I would get rid of it.

I am so dumb!
We got the 40 gallon today. We got more sub, and it came with a lid. But I forgot! A stand! I need to look on craigslist for a nice stand.

Good luck on the finding a quick, cheap and good-looking stand! The quick the stand comes, the quicker you can set up their tank.
