So, I just decided to build another crabitat for my smallest guys, so they could have their own special home.
This new place has more reachable facilities for them, and a more accessible schedule for both me and them.
It's just a simple 10 gallon, and it holds two tiny sized PP crabs, that are about the same size, except for shell variations.
I think it really looks great, and so cute! I do have a question though, mainly about the humidity.
Can I use plastic wrap to seal in the humidity better? It has a screen lid on it.
The tank has around 6" on substrate because the crabs aren't very large, and they've already wanted to burrow.
Hope you like it! The names of the crabs are Papaya, and Mr. Painbringer for now. Mr P is named that for now because I haven't thought of a real name. He pinched me twice, and it really hurt!

Will they need an open corner for air?
Here's some pictures of the babies this morning!

wow! beautiful tat! love how you used the "grass" as a shield for them to hide.
did you leave out any cocohut or hiding items on purpose? are they happy enough to hide among the vines and moss pit? it seems a great way to open up the floor surface in a 10!

Thanks! I really think they are doing better in here. Opposed to being in the 26 gallon, they always were burrowing away for weeks, and now their always out!aprilmay wrote:wow! beautiful tat! love how you used the "grass" as a shield for them to hide.

Papaya discovered that she is best hiding up in the vines, but I will be putting the coconut hut in there tonight!
I'm going to build a little wooden ramp with a platform for them to explore on. I need to put the hammock, and plastic wrap the lid for extra humidity.
