What is needed for an ISO tank? How do you all keep such a small temporary tank temp and humidity regulated? And when all do you use an ISO tank? Thanks

Hello :)
Not everyone has the money or the space to keep a separate tank set up. A lot of crabbers use critter keepers inside of their current crabitat as needed for an iso tank. Depending on the situation, you can also use 2-Liter soda bottles for surface molters inside of your current crabitat.

If you do have the money and space for a separate tank set up, I would suggest setting it all up ahead of time, so when it is needed it is good to go. Typically iso tanks are around 10 gallons.

Edit: Reasons to isolate: Surface molters, Streakers, Aggressive Behavior. HOWEVER - usually these occur because of something being wrong with the main tank. The problem should be addressed first. Isolating is only for safety reasons.

Thank you! Great info. Our regular tank is only 10 gallons, so we would have to do the small critter keeper or two liter bottle idea if needed.
