Timers & Nightlights

Post by piratetoothgir » Mon Apr 30, 2018 10:03 am

What type of timer would you recommend for regulating the time that the lights and the bubblers are on?
I would like to keep my lights on ten hours a day, and the bubblers turn off at night only, and back on in the morning :)
It can be a timer that isn't reptile company branded, or it can be :)

I don't have an outlet in this closet where the tank is at, but there's one right out the door about six feet away.
My intentions are to put an outlet surge-protected wall tap to plug untimed cords into, and the timer into that.
I already saw the picture by @daws409 with that timer.

Would anyone recommend the ExoTerra Night Moon? I wouldn't put it in my tank, it'll get too humid, any other night light options?

My bubblers are always on. Every now and then I unplug it for a few hours to make it more safe.

I just bought the cheapest timer I could find at the hardware store (usually in the lighting section).

If you want one with multiple outlets (for multiple plugs) its probably cheaper to get one timer with two outlets vrs. two timers - but price check.
