Do you think I could use a dried starfish in my crabitat?
I have had this real starfish for ten years, and I thought it might be usable. It’s a dried one from the Florida Clearwater beach that my grandmother found to give me.

If it was found by her, then it should be okay. I personally don't recommend the ones sold in stores. Most starfish are dried in alcohol to preserve their perfect starfish shape. Same goes for seahorses and sand dollars. Some sand dollars are even bleached. In my opinion these are not safe for the hermit crabs.

Edit: If I were you though, I would treasure that - one of these days you will understand. :)
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com

Okay, thanks!
I actually have two of them, my keepsake one is covered in polycarbonate resin :)
