Is it safe to decorate my crabitat with bottle brush branches? They're safe for my parrot so I would assume yes, but I'd rather ask the experts to be sure.
Thanks

Re: Bottle Brush Branches
As in from the Callistemon genus?
I dont really know of anyone that's used it in the crabitat, but in the wild the range of this species and hermit crab species (particularly aussies, but also hermit crab species endemic to New Caledonia) does overlap... so, (this has no claim) it *may be* safe.
I honestly cant remember if I saw this genus when I went to broome as well, as there were wild hermit crab populations pretty much in the township itself - so they may of well came across this plant.
Basically, for me I dont see a risk, but doesn't mean I would add it to the tank either... its certainly a risk that you take if you decide to add it to the crabitat.
