Would a UVB light help kill mold

Would a UVB help kill mold? I was thinking it might be nice to add to the crabitat if that is true.

No, the mold is caused by the high humidity inside the crabitat and bacteria on the moldy items. If you were to add live plants or grow chia inside your crabitat the UVB build would possibly help with them growing.

This presentation by Courtney Iris Karr (BioactiveFX1) has a section on UVB lighting. She experimented with standard and UVB lighting. We don't know if crabs benefit from UVB or not, but they do seem to prefer it. The lighting section starts at the 18:30 point.

I do highly recommend UVB lighting though. My crabs are very active.
