So I moved and had to take my crabs, found about half of the sub to be super saturated and about 1/16 of an inch of standing water. I kept half of the sub that I deemed good enough and then put the super saturated half in another tote. I’m wondering if I can reuse it still if I just throw a brick or 2 of EE in and let it soak up the excess, and how to tell if it’s grown bacteria

Re: Bacterial bloom questions
I would think if it retained that nice earthy smell to it, it's good to reuse. Mix some EE or moss to it if it's a bit too wet. If it stinks or is off colored, I would think bacterial bloom.

Re: Bacterial bloom questions
If there’s an anaerobic bloom it will turn gray and smell like sulfur. If you churn it and it doesn’t smell like rotting eggs it’s fine, otherwise toss out the bad stuff and anything immediately adjacent.
