Yikes . I got a new digital thermostat running in a new upgraded crabatat. My old crabatat has a thermometer and manual heat via UThs stuck all over the crabatat. Well, after getting everything set up nicely, I moved the thermometer into it to “check the accuracy” of the new digital thermostat, and long story short, the thermometer I been using for months and months was 8 degrees too low. So for the last four months I been doing everything in my power to get the heat to 78-82 inside, when in reality it was 86-90 inside . After the last molt one little guy was shell evacuating a lot so I put him in the new crabatat alone and he’s right as rain now. I know the story makes me look bad but I’m sharing so some noob like me don’t make the same mistake I did.

Make sure to not rely on one thermometer
Re: Make sure to not rely on one thermometer
I don't think it makes you look bad at all! We all make mistakes and learn, and in the end your hermies got pretty good temps the whole time anyways. I like the idea of two therms bc a lot of the time people use this kind of thing to say "digital is better" but ime the digital ones are more affected by misting so two can help balance
