I have mine sitting on end with cloth flowers poked into the substrate from the top, no doorway cut out. The crabs climb up the side of the cork or on the flowers to get down inside for napping. It's Big Enzo's favorite spot to sleep.

Whaaaaaaaat! That is a SWEET cork round. I'm jelly. The cocohut is pretty good too. And the hay-carrot! May I ask the damage on something like that? I don't have the space for a bale (and since setting up the tote in front of my dresser I really don't have any space) of timothy hay, but a small thingey of it would be great. (Unless it costs more than a bale, in which case I know I wont be able to bring myself to buy it. )

Nice haul.

Ok. So I'm gonna fess up. The cork round was like $14. Honestly, I picked it up, admired and drooled over it, then put it back. Walked around and came back to it and picked it up then put it back. Walked around some more and ended up picking it up and this third time, one of the employees asked me if I needed help (lol!) - she was in the aisle the two previous times restocking shelves. I told her no then finally threw it in my cart because I just knew I would kick myself later for not getting it. Lol! The Hay carrot is so cool! I got it on sale for like $3.50 and I just thought it would be fun to watch them crawl and swing on it:) Entertainment factor for me!

Hahahah - cork rounds notably have that effect on people. Whenever I buy wood, I have to psych myself up for the expense... and when I finally make the cork round bridge climbing structure I'm dreaming of, I know the price isn't going to make me happy.

But the hay carrot is totally reasonable!
