Does that look good ??? Or should I just take them out til I get mesh and put my old pools back in they were deep enough for him to get in about more then half his shell size ... Image

Here's the mesh I found at Wal-Mart in the craft section for $3
Image

I used aquarium safe silicone to attach it in my bowls like so

I won't be using these bowls for a few weeks as they're for the new tank so it has time to cure and get the smell out. Also, I'll keep the water just below where the silicone is.

In my current tank, I've got plastic bowls with rocks in the bottom. I also used the aquarium safe silicone to glue rocks to the side so the smaller crabs can climb out. Again, wait and let the silicone cure and the smell is gone.

Either option works great.

Yeah, let it sit for a couple of days to get the smell out.

Fill the water to just under the silicone. I'm sorry if I mistyped. You want the water just under the silicone.

I've used that sand before. I didn't like it, mine had a smell. Just check it before you add, but as far as I know it's okay.
