Looking real good! :)

(Will mention that on tapatalk, the pics are orientated correctly, but desktop/internet, not so much! Regardless, looking good!)

Gonna have to figure out how to get pics onto my chromebook and upload them from there. On another note; I started with 150 lbs of playsand and seven blocks of EE. That has filled about 1/3 of the tank with 11-12” of substrate. Will be heading to buy another 300 lbs of sand and another 14 blocks of EE tomorrow. Agent K hasn’t gone down to molt since November 2016, and he’s been shell swapping like a mad-crab the last couple of weeks. I asked him tonight to give me one more day.

How many inches of substrate are you aiming for?

I’m aiming for 15 inches so when it settles I’ll hopefully have 12”. My jumbo guys are about 4” tall each, so I really need that foot-deep substrate.

Agent K granted my request! He’s still up today!! And yeah, that’s a LOT of substrate...especially since I have to mix it one EE block at a time. Thinking about borrowing a wheel barrow to mix bigger quantities and then use my bin to move it to the tank.

I got the 65 and 150 up and running last night!! still working on ideas for a second level in each, but both tanks have plenty to keep everyone happy until I get it sorted out. Will post pics tonight after I have a chance to load them from something other than my phone.

3 bitty Es and one small/med PP are in the 65. Waiting for the other small PP to resurface in my 20g. Been down for three weeks now. I hope he’s ok under there and is regrowing his claw and two legs that he was missing when I got him.

Agent K and Agent J are LOVING the 150. They’ve been up all night having a party! Lol!

Today’s chores? Fix up one of my 10s as an ISO (that’s usually my 20, but I’ve got a molter in there) and drive to Des Moines to pick up my newest adoptees :D

Also wanted to mention that it took 17 blocks of EE, 400 pounds of playsand, and approximately 10 gallons of msw. It was SO HELPFUL to have a clean wheel barrow to mix it together before putting it into the tank. Also, a concrete mixing hoe was a great tool!!

I know, right???? I was amazed at how much it took. And that only got me to 12” of substrate! I was shooting for 15”, but my body aches made me quit at 12”. :?

Same with my tank! I have trouble with my hands, so my goal was 13 inches before it settled and I had to stop at 11! Luckily it didn't settle too much and I still have about 10 inches, but I wanted more!

I finally figured out how to upload pics to my chrome book to post. :D Please excuse my filthy fingernails in some of the pics. They were taken as I was messing with substrate. :anon:

Still need to add a couple of pics of putting the 150 together, but for some reason they still want to come out sideways! grrrrr....

OH MY GOSH THAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CRAB I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!!!
I showed my boyfriend and told him "look! Mine could get that big someday!!!" And he said "ummm, I don't want to do this anymore. That looks like it will eat a lot of food. I can't afford your hobby anymore."

Anyways, congratulations!!! It looks amazing already!!!!

Agent K says thanks! :D He is a gorgeous boy. And so gentle and trusting. Would you believe that I got him as a single (my first crab, inherited from an elderly friend) five years ago? He had survived his entire 18-20 year life in 3-4" of mostly dry EE, eating store pellets, and having ONLY chlorinated tap water to drink??????? He's amazing and I hope he lives as long as I do. He's very protective of the littler guys in the 150...shares the food dish and everything
